Last week we had the privilege of hosting Faith Christian's Boys Varsity Basketball team. We had so much fun with this group. 13 of the 15 stayed in our home. It was wall to wall people or like they say here it looked like "salchichas" (looked like a package of hotdogs--when they went to bed). The group had to adjust its game playing to more like the NBA. In other words not many fouls were called and there was ton of traveling. We warned them before hand but until you see it and play through a game it takes time to adjust. We received many comments on how positive and encouraging the guys were to the young people during the basketball clinics. I'm still hearing how wonderful last week was! Of course the most important thing is that the group were great testimonies of Christ. It would have been so easy to lose control, lose patience during the games but the guys showed that there is another way to play. The coaches here have never seen such control of the game and of character. We hope to continue to use sports as a medium to reach out to the community and we are ready to host another sports team anytime!! Way to go Faith!!

Sounds like you guys had a fun time! Oh, man, the only people I recognized in those pics were Allison, Natalie and the 2 coaches! The sad thing is that I probably SHOULD have recognized some of the guys, but 4 years makes a big difference! :)
