Benjamin, Claudia, Nicole, Gabe, Josiah and Becky--First day of school!
(Nicole with her cousins)
All I can say is, wow! Our year of furlough went by so quickly. We enjoyed reuniting with all of our family, friends and churches. You all are such a blessing to the Hornbrook family! A lot of our activity was related with the girl's schooling. Both girls were active in sports and choirs which kept us on our toes. We wouldn't have trade last year or the way we chose to do it for anything!
It was great to be in the same city as our son, Nathaniel. We got to watch and serve along side him all year! He will finish up his Masters next June and hopes to come serve with us as a short term missionary. We are looking forward to see how the Lord uses our son and his very creative gifts. Nathaniel has been able to minister to some tough kids at the Skate Park. I enjoyed getting to visit with some of the parents of these kids at a skate competition that our son organized. They all expressed how grateful they are for him and Faith Church.
Natalie is continuing her education in Indiana. She is at a junior college this year and will transfer to Purdue next Fall. Natalie is majoring in Linguistics. Natalie loves to communicate and she especially loves languages. Her heart's desire is to be a missionary also. She is open to any place on the planet!
Nicole is in the sixth grade this year. We have returned to homeschooling. We are doing things a bit different this year since Nicole is the only one at home. We have joined forces with Sam's brother's kids. They have a daughter that is practically the same age as Nicole. I'm homeschooling both of these girls. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we have all the kids together and we study Bible, Science and World History. Nicole is enjoying the company!
It was exciting to see new faces in our congregation when we got back to Nueva Vida! One family is ready to join the church and several folks are anxious to get baptized and join as well! There have been some disappointments. Some of our folks have given in to worldly thinking and aren't willing to stay committed to their marriages. This breaks our hearts. Pray with us as we counsel these folks from God's Word. May they repent, turn from their sinful way of thinking and acting, and begin trusting in God's Word and Ways of living.
Thank you so much for your love and support. We are excited to be back and a bit overwhelmed. Our church did so well in our absence. We are anxious to see what the Lord has ahead for us!

Hey Sam! I'm praying for you today. I pray that you will be filled with an excitement and passion for sharing the Gospel today. I will also pray that God will bring you opportunities to love someone with the love of Christ!
